BML-Blackbird is looking for a General Manager/Shop Foreman to join our team in a Senior Management role.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Create and enforce technical standards for the warehouse, determining and recommending better operating procedures company wide
• Manage the warehouse employees
• Arrange overhire crew when necessary
• Ensure all jobs get pulled by the departments in the appropriate time
• Work with Project Coordinators, Sales people, and crew to ensure everyone has what they need.
• Follow up with departments’ missing lists, ensuring the gear has not yet been returned and alert the appropriate parties
• Oversee the building (safety, building maintenance and operation)
• All other necessary duties to ensure an efficiently run warehouse

Prior entertainment lighting experience desired, but not required.  The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Warehouse experience
• People Management – including the ability to lead and motivate a team of diverse employees
• Strong delegation skills
• Computer literacy
• Ability to lift 50 Lbs
• Ability to multi task and stay organized in a fast moving business

The position is full time, in Secaucus, NJ.  We have about 50 Full Time Employees with about 12-18 warehouse personnel.  The job comes with all the standard benefits of a Full Time Employee (Holiday, PTO, insurance, 401(K), etc.)
